Who We Are?

Our aim is simply to play with purpose.

We utilise games, stories and movement to develop confidence, creativity and communication skills.

We offer workshops where students have the opportunity to stretch their imaginations, improve their concentration and develop emotional intelligence via the security of non pressured group play.

Yosra Elhamamy - Development Officer

Yosra joined Peekaplayers in 2023 as our Development Volunteer.

With extensive experience (14 years plus) working with children and young people with disabilities, and other additional needs in both paid and voluntary roles, she has seen first-hand what a positive impact and change workshops like that offered by Peekaplayers can have on them, as they grow into young adults and beyond, felt and remembered beyond the classroom.

She holds an undergraduate degree in Anthropology, specifically related to the socio-cultural side to the discipline, which deals with how individualistic and collectivistic societies live their lives and its impact on them, the wider community and the world.

Strongly resonating with and believing in Peekaplayers aim and ethos, Yosra cannot wait to get stuck in and see what the future holds, as the organisation grows. As well as this, feeling honoured and blessed to have been given the opportunity to join the team as a volunteer. She also holds a valid enhanced DBS.
